Auburn University is offering the
2014 Computer Science For All Girls (CS4ALL-G)
in Grades 4-8!
The Auburn University Robo Camp K12 outreach team is offering the CS4ALL-G Camp in July 2014 for girls in grades 4 - 8. Girls with disabilities and underserved are strongly encouraged to apply.
Since 2005, the Robo Camp K12 outreach program has served over 1,000 children from the Auburn community and surrounding areas. The purpose of the summer 2014 CS4ALL-G Camp is to foster interest in Computer Science among middle and high schools girls (including those with special needs) by providing an engaging and active programming development experience using CS Unplugged (CSU) kinesthetic activities (http://csunplugged.org/) and Microsoft Kodu (http://www.kodugamelab.com/) to teach basic computer programming skills in a fun environment. Prior computing experience is NOT required but we are looking for participants with interest in computing.
The 2014 CS4ALL-G residential/nonresidential Camp will be held on July 26-29 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Shelby Technology Center Lab 2205 & 2210 and the Educational and Assistive Technologies Lab, Shelby Technology Center Lab 2114.
CS4ALL-G Camp residentatial and non-residential total enrollment is limited to 20 (twenty) students. Two merit schoolarships are available.
CS4ALL-G Camps are part of a study that looks at different ways to attract girls to computing careers. Each girls and a parent will need to sign a consent form to participate.
Tuition is $135 per person for resident participants and $40 for commuter participants. Fees include all instruction, housing, meals (only lunch for commuters), recreational activities, a group photo, and a t-shirt.

Complete and return the required camp form packet within two weeks of registration. Return instructions are included in the packet.

As proof of health insurance, all participants must attach a copy of the participant's health insurance card (front and back) with the camp form packet. If the participant does not have current health insurance coverage, please contact us as soon as possible for options.
